Organizing Powerful Grassroots Groups
We are a national grassroots network fighting to advance a progressive issue agenda, elect progressive champions, and transform the Democratic Party!
Since 2016, Our Revolution members have built a nationwide progressive infrastructure to take on corporate power. We’ve started over 600 groups, with one in every state in the nation. That means that for the past three years, we averaged one new Our Revolution group every two days! The results of this explosive growth are evident in the candidates we’ve elected to office and the issues we’ve influenced through impactful campaigns. From our Medicare for All emergency ambulance tour, which helped get a majority of the House Democratic Caucus to cosponsor Medicare for All, to continuing the fight for fair and humane immigration policy, the grassroots members of Our Revolution have been on the frontlines of change.
We are able to accomplish this because we are committed to building grassroots power. In Maryland and Texas, for example, our statewide networks have hired their own staff and built collaborative campaigns with like-minded groups to make a difference on high-level issues.
At the local level, our groups are transforming city and county politics. For example, Memphis for All has organized a multi-racial, cross-class progressive coalition that has elected several members to the county commission. The Cuyahoga County Progressive Caucus (Ohio) is electing mayors and taking over city councils to advance criminal justice reform and lead-safe housing. These are just a few examples of the many ways Our Revolution local groups are educating, organizing and mobilizing for real change.
As we gear up for year four, we need you on the front lines.
